New Private Blog

Due to a stalker who left hateful comments on my blog, I had to make my blog private.

To my friends and family, please give me your email address in the comment section so I can invite you to be a reader of my blog. For safety, I will delete your comment as soon as I have your email address down. If you don't want to leave your email address in the comments, you can contact me by facebook, email, or text!

Please don't let this extra step deter you from keeping up with me! I wanted to keep my blog public so that all my friends could EASILY stay updated on my life but unfortunately, a public blog is no longer an option for me due to the circumstances. I really want as many of my friends to be able to read my blog so even if we haven't talked in ages and you have never mentioned to me that you read my blog, please don't hesitate to give me your email address. I welcome everyone (except for stalkers of course!)

See you all in my next blog...
Jen :)

9/9/09 EDIT: I disabled the comments because my stalker continued to bother me. I guess she never learned that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. So please email, text, or facebook me your email address! Thanks!

  2. Wow, if a current Hiroshima JET who one day happens to read the blog of an ex-JET from Hiroshima is stalking, then I think you need to pick up a dictionary and figure out what stalking really is. As someone who has been stalked I find your response above to be very childish and immature. But then again, that seems to be your MO.

Plus, who would have known that by posting a whole bunch of private information about yourself online, SOMEONE you DON'T KNOW might read it. Especially when a simple google search of your name comes up with some many results. Facebook, old resume (its still there by the way), blogs, photos, other people's webpages, school newspapers. All that on one page of google.

Maybe instead of spending your time publicly bashing your old jobs online (a great resume builder, by the way) you could spend your time doing something constructive. Like listening to your older sister, she seems to see what you fail to see.

Otherwise you should have stayed on JET in Hiroshima. At least here they'd pay you good money to do show up late and talk to your friend all day, and still turn a blind eye while you complain about it nonstop.

PS: You could easily just turn off comments in blogger, instead of going through all the trouble of making a new blog. Or delete my three comments. Like drama much?

  3. Jen! So proud of you for working hard despite the terrible economy.

I know when we did JET we were working really hard. Money well spent, Japanese government.

  4. I've never understood the point in taking the time and energy to leave trashy comments on a blog you don't even like. Like drama much? Why don't you get a life. Ugh.

  5. Oh Sarah - Miss Second year ALT...When you invoke my name (i am the older sister) in an attempt to pass judgement on my little sister, that is where you have made a terrible mistake. Now lets be clear, you have every right to read whatever public blogs are out there and think whatever you want. Posting obnoxious, judgemental and unwelcome comments, however, is unnecessary and shows something of your character that doesn't speak highly of you as a JET teacher and representative of wherever you are from.

And if you think the JET pay is so great that Jennifer should have stayed there, well i have news for you...Jennifer didn't take that job to capitalize on the Japanese needing native English speakers, she stayed in Japan because she cared about the students, was connected to the culture and was a damn good teacher. Seems like you might be there (with a great deal of time on your hands) for other reasons. As an employer, I would much prefer hiring someone like Jennifer who is an incredibly hard worker, is an amazing teacher, and has unbelievable integrity - over someone who can't seem to keep their ridiculous, and to use your words 'childish' comments to themselves about someone they have never even met...sigh. Maybe you could channel all this energy it takes to bother someone you don't know, into your actual job as a teacher supporting students in Japan and leave the sisterly comments to Jennifer's actual sisters.
